Due to natural elements and summer barbeques, patios are one of the most tarnished features of many backyards. Although it may seem like a ~perilous~ task, it’s actually quite simple to give your patio a much needed bath! Before you bust out the soap and sponge, here are some effective ways to clean your patio:
One of the best and most effective ways to clean a patio is to use a hose! Being the best method for concrete-based patios, start the process by sweeping any loose debris off of your patio. Next: remove any weeds that you may encounter between the cracks (if any are present). Then take the garden hose and rinse down your patio.
If any deep marks reside within your patio’s complexion, then it’s pertinent to scrub them out with a scrub brush! When completing this process, after you hosed down the surface, use a any scrub brush that doesn’t have wire or coarse bristles. If you happen to use the wrong type of brush, it will then cause your concrete patio to have scratch marks within it.
If you’re looking to give your patio a deeper clean — break out the power washer! Available at any home improvement store for rent or purchase, it will really make your concrete patio sparkle and shine! It’s also a great way to make it look brand new, too! Once the patio is done being power washed, it’ll look like it was just installed last week!
